Located at 124 Aldsworth Ave, Goring-by-Sea, Worthing BN12 4UU, Tides has become a beloved spot for locals and visitors seeking hearty breakfasts, indulgent lunches, and homemade bakes in a relaxed, coastal setting. After visiting multiple times over the past month, I can confidently say the Tides Menu reflects thoughtful curation, generous portions, and quality ingredients that exceed expectations for a casual café.

From the get-go, the Full English Breakfast stood out - crispy bacon, perfectly runny eggs, herby sausages, and well-seasoned mushrooms made for a satisfying morning feast. Their Eggs Royale, served with silky hollandaise over smoked salmon and toasted muffins, showcased finesse uncommon in similarly priced eateries. For lunch, the Halloumi Wrap paired grilled cheese with sweet chilli and crunchy salad - a vegetarian favourite that didn’t skimp on flavour.

Tides excels at sweet treats too. Their homemade cakes, especially the Victoria Sponge and Salted Caramel Brownie, were moist, rich, and clearly baked in-house. As for beverages, the barista-crafted coffee rivals some of Brighton’s trendiest spots, while their fresh juices and milkshakes cater to a broad clientele, from families to solo brunchers.

Service is consistently warm and prompt. The interior - light, clean, and coastal-themed - complements the friendly atmosphere. Compared to chain cafés, Tides differentiates itself with its attention to detail, community feel, and quality without pretension.

Though weekend queues can be long, especially mid-morning, it’s worth the wait. Booking ahead is advised for groups. One minor drawback is the limited vegan options, though staff are accommodating.

In summary, the Tides Menu offers excellent value, well-executed classics, and a strong sense of place. Whether you're after a seaside brunch or a peaceful coffee break, Tides remains one of Goring-by-Sea’s standout cafés.
